Come in William... Do you copy?
My personal rantings and ravings, which probably seem like they are from another planet -
or belong on another planet, depending on your perspective.

I don't understand the point of this article. Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to tip the waiter based on the service he provided instead of doing something mean to make an ill-conceived point?
No one likes not receiving money they rightfully expected, but the US has been 'redistributing wealth' for as long as I can remember. The only way to stop that practice would be to implement a completely flat tax, either as a dollar amount (which would bankrupt the poor), or as a percentage, which could still be considered a 'socialist' tax scheme, as it takes more money (in absolute dollars) from the wealthy. I am open to the concept of a flat tax, but I haven't heard anyone this election cycle pushing for implementation of that idea.
Actually, even a flat tax would not stop the redistribution of wealth by our government. We would need to get rid of basically all of the government's social programs, the most blatant of which is probably 'welfare', where some relatively poor people can get paid directly by the government. Really, even giving citizens access to our public school system (if they aren't paying the full cost of their children's education via taxes) could be considered wealth redistribution. Where do we draw the line?
